Irwin Entertainment approached Oishii to produce the main title and graphics package for their new series “Famously Single” on E!. Our main goal was to provide a visual representation of the complexities of forming and maintaining relationships while constantly under the public’s microscope. Through the interplay of images and typography, a portrait of each of the celebrities featured on the show is created. Rumors, social media references, and gossip, along with psychological terms describing relationship issues, build expectations that overlay each person’s fragmented image. The competing text and images represent the difficulty of getting a clear picture of anyone, especially celebrities and their potential partners.
